October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, which is an annual campaign to increase awareness of the disease. The Peace rose, correctly Rosa 'Madame A. Meilland', is a well-known and successful garden rose. By 1992, over one hundred million plants of this hybrid tea had been sold. The cultivar has large flowers of a light yellow to cream color, slightly flushed at the petal edges with crimson-pink. It is hardy and vigorous and relatively resistant to disease, making it popular in gardens as well as in the floral trade. It was developed by French horticulturist Francis Meilland in the years 1935 to 1939. When Meilland foresaw the German invasion of France, he sent cuttings to friends in Italy, Turkey, Germany, and the United States to protect the new rose. It is said that it was sent to the US on the last plane available before the German invasion where it was safely propagated by the Conard Pyle Co. during the war. era uno dei miei fiori sul mio balcone, ho dovuto cederlo all'amica Vanda poiché in vaso soffriva, lo abbiamo messo a dimora in un'aiuola sotto casa. Andrò a trovarlo, dovrebbe fiorire proprio in questi giorni. Do not use any of my images on websites, blogs or other media without my explicit written permission. lungo la strada per andare al Dojo dove pratico Karate e Taichi, ho incontrato le prime tracce di autunno e mi sono fermata per immortalarne i colori. PS.: ho cancellato la bruttissima selva di antenne che copre questi tetti ... qualcuno non vedrà più la TV ;-))) Do not use any of my images on websites, blogs or other media without my explicit written permission. mi piace molto il nome inglese di questa delicata falena che scientificamente è nota come Idaea seriata. Qui evidentemente stava facendo un riposino diurno su una margherita :) Explored Do not use any of my images on websites, blogs or other media without my explicit written permission.
