National Cycle Network Route 68 is a 327 mile long route from Derby to Berwick-upon-Tweed. This is just west of the village of Orton, in Cumbria.
The locations of Scout Green and Shap were well known to railfans back in the day.

Blunsdon is the mid way point and headquarters of the Swindon and Cricklade Railway. Here we see the pedestrian crossing and crossing keepers cabin. The station is just off to the left of picture.

The loco depicted is one of the lines locos, No 2138, an Andrew Barclay 0-6-0ST, built at Kilmarnock in 1941 and used at the Stanton Ironworks, Kettering.
