I love the fact that when I half close mu eyes, everything is reduced to simple blocks of warm colour. The diagonal block of light is superb.

I love the motion you've created here with the angle of light and direction of the person walking. The person leads me out of the image, but the sharp shadow line brings me back in. Great colors and subject. Very cool.

"trained eye" - thank you. i find myself being lazy with my posts here on ipernity. i frequently just post what i consider to be snapshots, more in a social media type way. i should be more selective. but i have been a photographer for my whole life (my mother and grandfather were photographers and they taught me) doing darkroom prints since age 8. so i do like to think i have a pretty good understanding of composition etc. i try to promote that knowledge through detailed comments when i have the time - both seeing what others have already done and suggestions for possible alternatives or adjustments.

i grew up on a rollei - square format is my favorite! so your photos frequently please my "trained eye".
