An abandoned villa just in the middle of Sulejówek.
Its formal status is unclear... I'd hate to see it gone...

Mummers
The Long Company Mummers are a long-established team of players who delight audiences with their traditional play on only four nights in early January every year, ending on Twelfth Night (6 January).
The play itself is an amalgam of traditional texts which have been selected by each player to be the best representation of their character.
The characters are King Christmas, St George, The Prince of Paradine, Common Jack, The Doctor and Beelzebub. Supported by a band of musicians, the players arrive from the dark, deliver their seasonal play by lantern light, and disappear back into the night.

There are many sand pits around Sulejówek.
Some of them are one hundred years old, remembering times when sand and clay (from numerous clay pits) were used to rebuild Warsaw and nearby towns after WWI.
Some are deep, some are shallow, all are dry with trees struggling to survive at their borders.

Season's Greetings
... with some help from two of my Ipernity friends ;-)
I know that I havn't posted much new material lately and that I hardly managed to view all the beautiful pics by my friends. But that's the way things sometimes go. I promise there will be more material from me next year, maybe starting in February ... or March ...

Bye Bye Mandvi !
