Traditional transport in Karnataka, Southern India. A number of decorated bullock carts, their animals beautifully decorated, were transporting families along a typical Indian highway. Think, hundreds of overloaded trucks, horns blaring, swerving and swaying....and the quiet bullock carts plodding calmly in the chaos! I thought to post virtual travel shots from all over the place to cheer my own confinement indoors!

SPC Joint Winner March/April 2020 (Porte/Doors). My fellow winner was Amelia Heath Originally in my old Panoramio account, these are actually beach huts. The title chosen because of the numbered boxes here representing in a little way our old social light gambling game: Bingo. When one won - they would shout 'House'! The game was often called 'housey-housey. Of course the double meaning was not lost on me neither :) The SPC (Secret Photographer Challenge) is one of a handful of Ipernity photo competitions. It is a fun contest giving contestants a chance to pit their skills with often something a little different from their normal Ipernity submissions. Wo die Bäche tiefe Rinnen in den Boden gegraben haben, hat man Brücken für die Wanderer errichtet. 2019 waren die Bachläufe total trocken. Die Kanarischen Kiefern verlieren permanent einen Teil ihrer langen Nadeln. Die liegen dann als trockene Schicht auf dem Boden (unten rechts und auf dem Weg). Es ist mir unverständlich, weshalb Wanderer hier ihre Kippen auf den Boden werfen. Es herrscht höchste Waldbrandgefahr, und immer wieder kommt es zu großen Flächenbränden.
