Great Central Railway Leicester 14th February 2014
British Railways Standard 9F 2-10-0 92214 at Leicester Central.
I was firing 92214 and and after a fine ride from Loughborough I managed to grab this shot of our steed as we ran round at Leicester North. I apologise to the gathered photographers on the short platform behind me. I hope I didn't spoil too many shots!

Whilst an owner may give any name to their property, I think it lessens the authenticity of a heritage loco, especially when there is no obvious connection to the name. I doubt if 92214 ever saw Scotland during its service life.
Loose_Grip/Pete club has replied to PolyrusAgreed! The good news is the engine doesn't carry that name any more. The bad news is it has carried the name Cromwell which also has no connection to the loco. The further good news is the chap that bought it & keeps it at the GCR was the founder of Cromwell Tools, hence the name, but he has actually sold the company now so I don't think it will carry that name any more!
It was built at Swindon, worked in BR service for only 6 years and then went to Woodham's in South Wales so, yes, you're right, it got nowhere near Scotland!
