Principality Time
Principality Buildings, Queen Street, Cardiff.
Founded in 1860 in Cardiff by William Sanders as a mutual building society, the Principality Building Society is the largest building society in Wales and the sixth largest in the United Kingdom. In 1914 the Principality Buildings were built to house the society headquarters and this building remained in that role until 1992 when Principality House next door in The Friary was opened. The building still houses a branch of the Building Society whilst the rest is used for a variety of commercial activities including a restaurant and a Travelodge
