Closeup of Eastern Poison Ivy Toxicodendron radicans, shot at the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge in Queens, New York City. This special place is part of the Jamaica Bay Unit of Gateway National Recreation Area. The active compound in the plant's sap that causes the often virulent skin reaction, including rash and blistering is called urushiol. The warm glow of a beeswax candle I bought on a recent trip to the Sunny Hill Resort in the Catskill Mountains of upstate New York. It was being sold at a craft festival they were holding there. The candle gives off a subtle buttery aroma.

The beautiful white flowers of Mock-Orange, shot at the Brooklyn Botanic Garden on June 5, 2021. This flower ranges from North and Central America to the Caucasus and Hymalayan Mountains and throughout much of Asia.

This shot of an enormous five inch long Largemouth Bass demonstrates two things" 1 - I'm great at catching tiny fish, and 2 - I needed to get my fingernails trimmed. Hope you like this little guy!
