Vehicles
Seasonal snacks.
"Santa" delivering some non-traditional Christmas food to one of my neighbours. Photographed with a Sony RX100 compact camera and processed with Nikon Capture NX2.
Patrol car.
A police patrol car belonging to Lancashire Constabulary, photographed with a Sony RX100 compact camera and processed with Nikon Capture NX2 software. This was taken with a high ISO setting (800) due to bad light but the result was much better than I had expected.
Winter HFF.
Photographed yesterday during high winds which caused the snow to drift. The top of the fence in the foreground is approx. 1.5 mtrs above ground level and an hour later this car had almost disappeared.
Camera: Sony RX100 (compact)
Processed with Nikon Capture NX2.
Slight exaggeration?
One of the many vehicles currently involved in the re-surfacing of a local road. All roads may indeed "lead to Rome" but I'm not sure I believe the rest of the claim !! Photographed with a Sony RX100 compact camera and processed with Nikon capture NX2.
New road (HFF / View on Black).
Another view of the local road improvements....the large vehicle on the left is planing the old road surface smooth before others arrive to lay the new surface. Photographed with a Sony RX100 compact camera and processed with Nikon Capture NX2 software.
Sunday drivers.
A quick snapshot taken while we were stuck in slow-moving Sunday traffic on the way home from Hardcastle Crags. Apart from a couple of reflections on the windscreen, the result was better than I had expected considering it was taken without the use of flash. Photographed with a Nikon D300s camera and AF-S DX Zoom-Nikkor 17-55mm f/2.8G IF-ED lens. Processed with Nikon Capture NX2.
Then and now.
When she was just six years old my daughter told me....."I'm going to get a BIG car when I grow up".
Two photos combined & processed with Nikon Capture NX2.
"Northern Rail" train.
A Blackpool - Colne "Northern Rail" train leaving Brierfield station. This line used to continue to Skipton where passengers could get connections to almost anywhere in the country via Leeds or Preston. Today the line terminates at Colne, just a few miles short of Skipton. Campaigners have been trying to get the line re-opened for many years, so far without luck.

Japanese "Bullet" train.
A Japanese "Bullet train" which also contains an information centre with film-shows. Photographed at the National Railway Museum, York, UK.
