Defying gravity for just a bit longer.

Five minutes later the avalanches started of thawing ice . It got too dangerous to stay out there as the ice came off the trees

Fascinating, Pam. I had never really understood the term 'ice storm' previously as there's nothing like it here, this set of photos has brought it home to me.

Until I came to the USA I had no real conception of it either. I wondered why all the trees were broken.. after the first ice storm I knew why !
