Family Circle
Family Circle of Redwoods
Do redwood trees have families?
Well, yes they do.
When the parent tree is destroyed (usually by multiple fires), a circle of offspring grow from the root burls of the parent.
This photo was taken by a Zenza Bronica S2 medium format film camera with a NIKKOR-H 1:3.5 f=5cm lens and Zenza Bronica 82mm L-1A filter using Kodak Portra 160 film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.
