The appearance of poppies on the Springtime California coastal landscape signals the end of the big waves of the winter surf season.

This photo was taken by an Asahi Pentax 6 X 7 medium format film camera and Super-Multi-Coated Macro-Takumar/6X7 1:4/135mm lens mounted on a Asahi Pentax 6X7 #2 Extension Tube using Kodak Portra 160 film, the negative scanned by an Epson Perfection V600 and digitally rendered with Photoshop.
