I don't know how I would have handled this, but I'm pretty sure not as well. I like how you've framed the couple with the two other bosses and the near-symmetrical features below, and the colour is appealingly unusual. From those reflections I conclude you darkened this a bit, which probably brought out some of the asymmetrical details that provide more tension. Which all adds up to a respectful presentation of a depiction of a common human moment.
