TSC: a place you love

TSC: a place you love
This is where I live in Tagish Yukon. I put a note where my house is, you cant see it but it's tucked away in there.

Liliane LR, Gillian Everett, Esther, autofantasia and 14 other people have particularly liked this photo

everyone says that about winter here. It's dry so no bone chilling dampness, but I will admit it is the longest season!

too bad those guys come spoiling that great feeling, a fabulous place Wendi!

Yes Luc, the garbage left behind is disturbing because the bears get into it and then they need to be put down. A fed bear is a dead bear.

we can take many trails right out our back door, even in the city we can do that.

Such a lovely place to call home. So much natural beauty to enjoy. As always it's good to get away from the city hustle/bustle atmosphere. :) xxx

oh man.. we covered a pile of ground yesterday! Up this mountain than walked all over.. had to stay moving it was windy and frigging cold up there.. whoever said heat rises has certainly never been up a mountain!
We also found the old Mounted Police Post -circa 1898- along the river (at the bottom) It's where the gold rush folk had to stop and have their supplies checked for the journey to Dawson. I was like a kid in a candy store.. it was my 1st time. I can't put notes on my pics because I am no longer part of the club!

Just need the bears to quietly and unobtrusively eat the weekenders and then Paradise comes back. We wont tell anyone where the noisy brats went !

Shuttering Yukon has replied to Pam J club
lol.. I would be very happy if a bear.. any bear... ate my neighbour! I swear if he leaves garbage behind again I am going to deliver it to his door step in Whitehorse!

Well... you see.. I WOULD do that.. with a sweet smile and saying "I know you meant to take this with you and I'd hate that you lost something" !!!

This is the sort of landscape I love, what a great place to live! Pity about the weekenders, it seems they behave the same everywhere in the world. I guess bathing at California beach is only for the hardy... Near the North Cape they have a beach nicknamed Copacabana and they say when the blokes go in the (freezing) water they come back out as girls;-)

haha Gudrun, that is funny! The water is chilly to say the least. But we do swim in there, if we get a nice warm summer it warms the water up.

no shopping, It's a small community.
There is actually a subdivision tucked away in the trees, you just can't see the gravel roads in this picture. We drive 118 km to shop.

It looks quite beautiful Wendi, but at the same time I can imagine that it must be a very challenging place for people to live! :)

Shuttering Yukon has replied to autofantasia club
naw, its not challenging, we just want people to think that so they don't move here.
