If any of my Canadian friends happen to see this, please know that I send my best wishes for a very happy Thanksgiving weekend, whether you get to celebrate it with family, friends or alone, or not at all. I know the ideal thing is if we always remember the things for which we are thankful, but sometimes that just doesn't happen. Three more days, and it will have been one year since I first joined Flickr! Thank you all for your much appreciated friendship from various parts of the world, including right here on my doorstep. I really appreciate the time you take to have a look at the images I upload and if you leave a comment, too - well, that is wonderful! I have learned all sorts of things from viewing your photos - talk about being inspired! It's too bad that that thing called LIFE (which we all USED to have before joining Flickr!) interferes with the joy of browsing endless photos. I'm afraid that my LIFE (which includes painful knees that often cut short my time here, a computer that is almost grinding to a halt, and the slowing effect of "old age" that is encroaching much faster than I would like, LOL) seems to be getting in the way more and more. Just wanted to wish all of you who are mothers, a very happy Mother's Day on Sunday. I'm not sure which countries celebrate this important day on Sunday, but I think every day should be Mother's Day, so celebrate anyway! Happy Halloween tomorrow, everyone! Have a safe and fun time, if you do celebrate. Here in this city, many children now go to various Community Centres or shopping malls to celebrate, rather than going from door to door. Much safer - not to mention much wamer if the weather is cold. We had another snowfall last night - of course, it's Halloween!!

Couldn't resist taking a photo of these two cute snowmen faces. I'm almost beginning to feel guilty because our weather is so beautiful at the moment. Not sure what the temperature is. I usually turn on my TV to check the forecast, but my TV died two days ago : ). I want to see if they are still forecasting snow for the days around Christmas Day. Meanwhile, we are all enjoying the blue skies and sunshine, and hope that you are fortunate enough to not be suffering from the dreadful winter storms that have been happening in some places.
