Another Monarch
This is the third Monarch I've seen so far this summer (at Kerfoot Ranch, Nose Hill and Bridlewood). Normally, it's rare to see them this far north in Alberta, but for some reason, a few are coming further north this year. They are so hard to photograph with their fast flying, but this one briefly landed on a path, giving me a chance for a very distant, cropped photo, just for the record.
