I did a lot of driving yesterday, partly to keep me off the computer for at least part of the day, to give my painful arms a break. I don't think driving is the best thing, either, but perhaps not as bad as mouse-clicking. Drove NW of Calgary (and NW of Cochrane), as it was such a beautiful, sunny day, getting up to 26C in the afternoon - remember the snowstorm we had about 10 days ago, when I photographed a Great Gray Owl up there, lol? Calgary's weather is insane : ) I was out of luck with the Great Grays and also couldn't find the Northern Hawk Owl, but did hear it calling. A beautiful butterfly was all I found. On the way home, I drove a couple of the gravel backroads south of 22X (the image above shows a view from one of them), finding a distant Mountain Bluebird and a Tree Swallow - even a very distant Hawk in flight that I will need to heavily crop. An awful lot of driving for so few things, though I'm always thankful for anything I see.
