Happy Easter

I'm posting my photos rather late today, as late last night I had an invitation to join two friends who were going south of the city today, seeing what birds they could find. This was such a treat for me, as I won't drive that far by myself. What a beautiful, sunny, warm day it's been, with lots of blue sky and some great birds to see. I think I managed to get decent enough shots of a Merlin, Kestrel, Tree Sparrow, Trumpeter Swans, Pintail, Coot, Shoveler, Red-winged Blackbird, Barrow's Goldeneye, and a Rough-legged Hawk. We also saw Great Horned Owls on their nests, complete with white, fuzzy owlets. Haven't downloaded them to my computer yet, so we'll see if they are sharp enough : ) Thanks so much, Ron and Trish, for such an enjoyable day out and thanks for your patience and determination to give me the best chance possible to get photos of these amazing birds! It was a great day and SO much appreciated! Happy Birthday to your Dad, Trish - hope you all enjoy this evening together. And now I'm having trouble keeping my eyes open.
