A perfect pose
A little worse for wear
Haunting howl of the Wolf
Such a little cutie
A burst of colour
A quick Hello
Giving me a look
One of my favourites
One-eyed beauty
Scalloped
Bachelor Button
Rare White Bison
Rough-legged Hawk
Summer bokeh
A shower of light
Pefectly designed
Think spring
Are you looking at me?
Wild Turkey
Black Henbane seedpods
Brown Creeper
Pristine
Love and gratitude
Old age surrounded by youth
Winter desolation
Stand up and be counted
Edged in ice
Nature's sketchbook
On the wall
A single drop
Button eyes
Saturated footsteps
Sweet Peas
Held in place
Doing what Nuthatches do
.
Just dropping in to say Hello
Alert for an instant
Colour in a world of white
Rough-legged Hawk
A winter sunset
Succulent
Gray Partridge
Hello sun, goodbye moon
The last of Christmas

Splendour
This is one of two absolutely gorgeous horses that we came across on our Audubon Christmas Bird Count in the Snakeshead area, near Sundre (north of Calgary), two days ago. The other horse was as similar colour but had just the "spot" on its forehead, whereas this one has the stripe, too. I couldn't believe the rich colour of their winter coats. Note the slightly ice-crystalled nose and whiskers - after all, it was -30C!
