Dick, If she is around - there are yellow ones someplace. When we were in the Land of Lakes, we had the yellow males .. maybe the females prefer your end of town ....

Diane, thank you ... the yellow False Sunflowers (seeds gifted by Pam J) are a magnet --- haven't had this many butterflies nor different kinds since we moved here.

Could sit out there all day and watch them --- yesterday, a Hummingbird whizzed by my head just as I was removing the lens cap ... no, didn't come back ...

I'll have to look into planting those! I rarely see butterflies where I am, so either they don't live here or I don't have the right plants.
