In the 2003 elections in Oman, both men and women received an equal chance to vote for the first time. Women obtained permission to vote for members of the Majlis al-Shura, the elected governing body of Oman, and could even run as candidates in 2012. Omani society is becoming more aware of how important the woman’s role is, in pushing the wheels of development in the country along with men.
Under the Basic Law of Oman’s government, women are entitled to the same wages and treatment as men.

Wünsche noch einen schönen Tag,ganz liebe Grüße Güni:))
In realtà sono molto piacevolmente sorpreso di sentirlo. Finché dura e questa legge non viene mai rivista per degradarla!
Cette femme semble très jolie et sereine.
I like the portrait, Annemarie!
Thanks for informations, too
A great narrative too about women's rights in Oman.........they've been a long time coming..!!
Thank you Annemarie pour cette photo d'espoir.
A superb series of portraits dear Annemarie.
La foto, nonostante tutto, è molto espressiva !
Un caro saluto
Fabio
