Mushroom rock.

Mushroom rock.
Mushroom rock
Wadi Rum desert has a couple of famous, solitary, unusual rock formations. Mushroom rock is one of them. This photogenic rock, like all other rock formation, over time, was shaped naturally by erosion.

Marta Wojtkowska, Dimas Sequeira, Belleuse, Buelipix and 70 other people have particularly liked this photo

klasse, ein echter Steinpilz - und rechts oben, liegt ein müder Pilzesammler (:-))

Beautiful. It looks exactly like a mushroom. I like to imagine that there were giant mushrooms in the past and that this one transformed itself into a rock.

Hi Annemarie,

I remember seeing a picture of this in a science book when I was around 7 or 8 years old. It is wonderful to see it now in your gallery!
