Brasenose College is, apparently, home to one of the oldest rowing clubs in the world. For 'Sight and Sound' I couldn't find many rowing songs but settled for "All The Rowboats" by Regina Spektor :-)

HAPPY FENCE FRIDAY, ALL :-)
I normally hibernate when it is cold and snowy :-) But, last Monday I braved the elements and went to Oxford. Thankfully, most of the snow had disappeared!
This shot is of Nuffield College and I believe this is the library tower topped by a flèche. A flèche is, apparently, a lead-covered timber spire, or spirelet :-)
Nuffield College was founded in 1937 after a donation to the University by William Richard Morris an English motor manufacturer who founded Morris Motors Limited.
I was looking for a motor car link for 'Sight and Sound' and here comes a very wayward one :-)
There is a group called 'The Cars'. I am using their song "Just What I Needed" covered here by Postmodern Jukebox featuring Sara Niemietz :-)

The old Westgate Shopping Centre in Oxford was demolished and for the last year or so the new one has been taking shape. I thought it was going to be a small number of shops on one level. But, it is now open and it is over three storeys and it is pretty massive :-) I'm not one for spending lots of time in shopping centres but I was very impressed with the new Westgate and I could see lots of photo opportunities :-) Trouble is, there is rule that says you cannot take photos in shopping centres 'cos they are deemed to be private property!!
So, I grabbed a few shots before any security guards stopped me :-)
This shot was taken on the Roof Terrace and you can see a number of Oxford's 'Dreaming Spires'. Certainly, Tom Tower, Christ Church Cathedral, Christ Church College, Radcliffe Camera, Oxford University Church, Merton College. I'm not immediately too sure of the others. Maybe Lincoln College, University College and one or two others :-)
These folks are heading back to the escalators so I have chosen "Walk Right Back" by Chris Hillman from his album "Bidin' My Time". The album was produced by Tom Petty not that long before Tom, tragically, passed away. I am also including a short tribute to Tom from Chris. A box of tissues is at the ready!
