Hi Wendi. I will explain :-) I sometimes find that the instant I press the shutter a person will 'out of the blue' get themselves into my pictures! I didn't even notice here until Norbert mentioned to me that there was a young lady in this shot :-)

Me being nearly 69 are allowed to notice these things! But, if it were me by the time I had reached into my bag for the 300mm it would have been to late, the sun would have dropped even lower putting that. beautiful gate into shadow. The couple in the frame do give the gate a sense of purpose.

Yep! I agree with your sentiments, Maurice :-) I was very lucky that I just had my trusty ole Coolpix with me and I didn't have to go ferreting around for a zoom lens otherwise I could have missed the shot! Cheers, Maurice :-)

Looking at the HFF group, I was struck (so to speak) by this elegant fence alongside the sandstone gate. I must express my gratitude to Norbert for pointing out the young lady helping to lead my eye to the right of the frame - good composition. :) HFF.
