Happy Bench Monday from William Tugman State Park! (+8 insets)

Happy Bench Monday from William Tugman State Park! (+8 insets)
(+8 insets)

Some Benches Need to be Shown Twice!
Do you remember seeing this bench before?! I wouldn't be surprised if you did, as I posted it for HBM some time ago (inset #1). What a CRAZY bench! It sits at the very end of the short 1.1-mile trail that I walk every morning when Steve and I are at Tugman State Park. It overlooks lovely Eel Lake and if you can get comfortable (um, not possible!), it would be a very nice spot for a picnic lunch! This bench is actually so lopsided that they put in a "normal" bench further up the little hillside so people can sit without sliding off! :D I hope they never remove this crazy thing, it's so much fun! :)

Art News: New Doodles!
I did another pair of doodles to share, and in the meantime, my watercolors and other stuff arrived so now I can begin that too! I'm a little hesitant and not quite in the mood right now so it may be a little while before I show off my first attempts. You never know though, maybe I'll have something for my next post!

Today's Insets
My insets include the following:
• a picture of my previous posting of this super cool bench (it's clickable)
• a view of Eel Lake from the end of the trail on a sunny morning that shows mist rising up
• beautiful shadows on the trail...what's that on the left side?
• there was a spider web I discovered next to the trail, glowing in the light!
• a close-up of the spider web
• glowing moss on this awesome morning
• dazzling ferns on a moss-covered tree
• my next pair of doodles

Explored on 12/13/21; highest placement #16.

Thank You For Visiting!
Hope you folks are all set for a super week! It's been raining non-stop for the past day here and the forecast says possible snow, though I think our elevation's too low. Who knows though? It's certainly getting very cold! Stay warm, dry and safe! And as always, thanks so much for your visits, comments and stars! :)

This bench has bags of character............I love it's lopsidedness and the fantastic textures in the wood. Brilliant..!!

An outstanding series of PiPs...........my faves are the two shots with spider's webs, and the seventh one with those gorgeous ferns and mosses. Well done as always Janet.

Divine Doodles too!

Have a lovely week, stay safe and have fun!

A late HBM from me ! Couldn’t comment earlier because of this programme fault. It’s a very impressive and rustikal bench which I like very much ! Have a good week ahead, Janet ! Stay well and healthy ! Many greetings from Frankfurt !

Gorgeous shots, Janet!
The delicate spider web and ferns on the trees make
the forest look like a magical fairy tale forest.
And your new doodles… they too are admirable.

For me, the most beautiful photo in this excellent series is the close-up of the spider's web. Although a rather small web, it contrasts beautifully against a mysterious, dark background!

A really beautiful photo of the interesting bench (must be viewed large to enjoy the wonderful details on the back of the bench. As usual, your insets are also marvelous photos with beautiful fine detail. Your doodles appear to be getting more complicated and very beautiful.

These "home built" benches have so much character. This is quite an impressive work, as it looks as though it's been chainsawed from a log, then assembled by fit. Great PiPs too, Janet.

When I was “Flickr” member, I came upon a person who calls himself “Gundalini” on flickr. He was from Italy. He was very good at photography, and on one of his old photographs he quotes a few words, which I admired so much, I copied and I still carry it in one of my images.

Now it is time for me to share it with this image….!

An eternal charm seems to emanate from these places forgotten by the time.
May be the Photography refines senses and gives the ability to see the world through new eyes.

Oh Janet what a beautiful array of photos. I love your doodling - very attractive and interesting. As for the Eel Lake - what a super place it looks.

The greenery on the trees is superb - and as for the ferns growing on the branches of that tree - I suppose the moss is so thick, that the ferns were able to seed and grow there. I love the light behind the trees and leaves - fabulous.

I hope you and Steve have a great Christmas and a very happy 2022.
