Yin and Yang

Yin and Yang
[best appreciated at full size against black]

A month or so ago, Steve and I went up to the top of the Upper Table Rock to take pictures of wildflowers. Naturally, I took pictures of all the cool things I could find, and when I found this moss, I was amazed by its beauty! I've never seen such colorful moss before, and I really love its similarity to an evergreen plant!

Juniper Haircap Moss is found world-wide, and since I found it on the Upper Table Rock, I've discovered it in several places on our property! :D

I really like how the shape of this moss bordering this rock looks like a yin yang symbol. And as moss is a living thing, growing on this dead rock, they are a pair, and illustrate ying yang! :D

I've uploaded two other pictures today and I hope you'll visit them too!

Thanks to all of you who have visited and have left comments and favorites! I try to go to all of your pages within a day or two and is a highlight for me to see your beautiful photography! :)

NOTE! I have finally updated my profile and I hope you'll take a look to find out a little more about me and how important all of you are to my experience here on Flickr!
