Easter Sunday: what a perfect day for caramelized banana-pecan pancakes! Both of us had been thinking about the same thing when Steve brought up the idea this morning! It's so nice to be married to such a great cook and baker! When we met, I made sure to explain that I hate cooking but I don't mind cleaning up afterwards, so we have a perfect arrangement! :) One of Steve's favorite cook books is "The Pancake Handbook" which he bought from a favorite diner in San Francisco, and it's filled with all types of delicious recipes for pancakes.

By the way, you'll notice a stack of smaller pancakes on the side. Steve made those specifically for our parrot, Pumpkin, who is a banana-pecan pancake junkie! She loves to share our pancakes with us and just seeing them has her "gronking" in delight and flapping her wingies to try to propel us to the table faster!! :D :D She loves the bananas, "mining" for pecans, and by the time we're all done, she has a very impressive pancake beard! Steve will take her over to the sink to wash off her messy beaky, which makes Pumpkin laugh and chortle with delight! She's so cute! :)
