WA - Ancient Lakes
Folder: Washington (state)
Lakes and wildlife area in Potholes Coulee, just south of Quincy. The lake basins are natural, but their water levels have been raised considerably because of higher groundwater levels from the Columbia Basin irrigation project. The album also includes pix from hiking to the Lakes from Cave B resort along the Babcock Bench above the Columbia.
