NNev - Dixie Valley

A deep fault trough east of the Stillwater Range. There is a lot of fault topography spectacularly distributed along the Stillwater range front (west side of the valley), including some scarps formed by a magnitude 7.4 quake in December 1954. A geothermal plant is also located about 50 miles north of US 50. There was at one point an agricultural settlement of Dixie Valley, but the Federal government bought them out for the Fallon Naval Air Station.
