The name Pasco (a common Cornish name) recalls the exodus of Cornish miners in the 19th century, many moving out here to seek their mining fortunes after the crash in the market for Cornish tin.
slgwv club has replied to Andy Rodker clubEven so, I suspect most of the "Pascos" in the US West were named for Cerro de Pasco in what's now Peru, one of the biggest silver deposits ever discovered, just as lots of strikes were named "Ophir" after King Solomon's legendary mines. Word magic, I suppose! ;)
