Showers Lake
On the Pacific Crest/Tahoe Rim trail, California, about halfway between Carson Pass (California 88) and Echo Summit (US 50). This is a popular backpacking campsite. We came in on a short cut for a day hike, over the ridge off the view to the left, from Schneider Cow Camp--which, for being an "unofficial" trail, turns out to be very well known! The insert contains another view, taken to the right of this viewpoint.
