Red Lake
A small reservoir east of Carson Pass in California's Sierra Nevada. The highway going up the flank of the mountains across the lake is State Route 88. Originally for agricultural storage, the reservoir and water rights were bought by the state Dept. of Fish and Game and it is now being managed for the benefit of wildlife.
