This part of Oregon deserves to be better known--but then it would be overrun, too!

Heh. Well, of course there are lots of glacial features in the Oregon Cascades, and there also should be some in the Blue Mtns, at least in the Anthony Lakes area. But they are unexpected in this isolated and rather barren mountain block!

Steen's Mountain is a BLM scenic/recreational area, kind of like Red Rock Canyon west of Vegas, that deserves to be better known--but then it would probably be overrun, too! The wet, western side of Oregon gets lots more attention. There is no paved access to the mountain itself, so that also helps keep crowds down ;)
