Virginia Range

Washoe County, Nevada, USA. A small unnamed closed basin within the range. In wet years there's actually a small lake at the far (northern) end. It seems remote, but the suburbs of Reno, Nevada are over the skyline!

Feature, not bug! It's surprising, tho, that this area is so close to suburban Reno (see the map location). It looks like areas much farther out in Nevada that are truly remote. It's public land, administered by the BLM (Bureau of Land Management), so it's protected from development at least for now.
