Fallen Leaf Lake

Just southwest of Lake Tahoe, in the Sierra Nevada of California. The distant mountains are across Lake Tahoe, and partly in Nevada. This is a natural lake in a glacial basin that's separated from Lake Tahoe by a low sill. Map position is approximate due to the loss of the "satellite view" functionality!

Thanks, everyone! The story is that "tahoe" itself means "fallen leaf" in one of the local Native American languages. This lake has lots of development around it, like Tahoe itself.
