A Patriot
Uploaded for the Vintage Photos theme Park theme of PATRIOTIC
June 30 - July 6, 2025
Given to me by a bookseller friend who sometimes finds photos tucked away in book donations.
Written on the photo: Ann Wishard 1917
After some brief research it appears that this is Ann Marie Wishard - a prominent advocate for a woman’s right to vote.
A movement endlessly ridiculed, vilified and undermined by the press and men in general.
In horrific times like these, we can look to the great courage of women like Ann to remind us that “this too shall pass.”
And recognize and mourn the sorrows that all the spineless sycophants and betrayers of our Constitution have enabled.
