Crazed Woman and Phone

Crazed Woman and Phone
Uploaded for the Vintage Photos Theme Park theme of: TELEPHONES (Jan. 6 - Jan 12, 2025)
I don't remember the story behind this - but, despite a weird smile, I look vengeful and quite demonic!
I'm coming out of the rain and into the house in Chester, Vermont where I house-sat for a family who had moved to Boston, but kept their Vermont home.
It's 1979 - and the phone beside me is the only one in the house. I don't remember using the chalkboard but the family, when visiting, sure did.
I wonder what the writing on top says? It looks like Greek.

Smiley Derleth, William Sutherland, Nouchetdu38, homaris have particularly liked this photo

Other than the colour fading, and/or the processing being poor to begin with, this is a fine picture and a valuable record of social history. I'm not sure I see a person looking weird, vengeful or demonic. Just a bit damp.

Thanks, Limbo. Impressed you could look past the crazy. : D
It's always interesting to measure what we see in photos of ourselves vs. what other people see.

Fun Photo, Deborah. According to Google translate the Greek writing says. Happy New Year!

Wow, thanks, Rick!
It must have been up there on the board for a while because that definitely isn't January clothing, January weather or January behavior (stopping halfway in with the door open!)
