The Gayley Gesters

Stretching it a little for this week's theme of "AND THE BAND PLAYED ON (people enjoying themselves while a band plays)" for Vintage Photos Theme Park - but if you look to the left of the Gayley Gesters you can see a couple (at least, the woman) enjoying the evening beside the band.
This was in a collection of my husband's family. This appears to be the 1940s or maybe 1950s. I'm not sure what the family connection was - also wonder how much longer the band would have used that name.
