Me and My Bubble Car

Me and My Bubble Car
Not really, but it would have been nice. Another random picture from my closet cleaning. Taken on a 1974 trip to Europe - this is Canvey Island in England. I have no idea who the car belonged to or what it's really called - we always called them Bubble Cars.
A brief wardrobe comment - this was one of my two standard ensembles - denim shirt and painter pants - the other being flannel shirt and patched blue jeans.
Re-posted for the Vintage Theme Park theme of "Cars."

We called them "Bubble cars" in England. In fact, some group did a version of that early 60s song with "the little Nash Rambler vs the cadillac" only it started off "While riding in my bubble car..."
: )
Yes, I feel very rich in photographs. Both my mother's side and my husband's side took tons. And I have countless pictures, too. I only have a small amount uploaded here. It can feel a little oppressive at times, when I think of how many there are to go! : )

This is a BMW Isetta for the British market with only three wheels, instead of the original four. The small car was built from 1955 to 1962 and is a license build of the Iso Isetta (1953-1955) from the Italian car manufacturer Iso Rivolta.
