Vanishing Point Movie Locations

A section of Highway 95 in Nevada between Goldfield and Tonopah where some driving scenes from the original "Vanishing Point" movie were filmed.

The Goldfield Hotel in Goldfield, Nevada. Built 1907-1908. In the original "Vanishing Point" movie it was the home of the KOW radio station where Super Soul (Cleavon Little) was a DJ.

In the film Kowalski, played by Barry Newman, comes racing around the back of this church, down this road, which was not paved then, and to the left down Main Street in a white 1970 Dodge Challenger R/T being chased by a 1970 Plymouth police car. This photo was taken nearly 42 years after Vanishing Point was filmed and it is apparent that the Joshua trees grow very slowly because they have not changed much since 1970.
