The Ash Fork-Bainbridge Steel Dam built in 1898 by the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway to create a reservoir of water for use in steam locomotives in the Arizona desert.

It is a fun excursion with my 4X4.
It is a State Historic Engineering Landmark and listed on the National Register of Historic Landmarks.
It is a remarkable structure to have survived so long. Even though it's not regularly maintained.
The days of steam locomotives are long gone but on March 5th of 2018 this dam will be 120 years old.
