1975 Plymouth Road Runner

1975 Plymouth Road Runner
A 1975 Plymouth Road Runner with another on top of it in a junkyard.
Compared to the older ('68-'74) Road Runners these were ugly as hell and this is how most of them ended up.

A buddy of mine bought a new 1976 model right after high school ... quite the disappointment I though!

I agree the '76 is pretty disappointing compared to what they were, but, aside from looking like a grandma's car with stripes, the little Volare Road Runner could be made fairly fast with some upgrades on the V-8 engine.
The '75 was just a big 2 door Fury lumbering turd. It could be ordered with a 4 barrel 400 big block, but they were low compression boat anchors by then.

Yep ... he drooled over the neighbor's 68 Roadrunner all through high school ... and then bought this! I actually liked his 66 Polara better.
