A Dry Day Again !!

The Sunday Challenge ......Weather related.

I bought this Barometer many years ago & found it rather sad that someone's Wedding Gift ended in an Antique shop.
I often wonder who the couple were & what a lovely Wedding gift to receive. If they had any family that surely would have loved this for a family heirloom.... sadly not !

Very well processed! A pity people do get rid of beautiful things, lucky for you though:-) A greataunt of mine took the axe to quite a few bts of old furniture and paintings, feeding her fire with the "old rubbish".

Nice post for the challenge Marj. Wouldn't it be a surprise for the relatives if you could find them and return the wedding gift to the family? Like you, I see items in resale shops and antique shops that just make me sad. Those old, long, forgotten (?) photographs, military medals, other items that were once a treasure for someone.
