With Ukraine undergoing political and economic difficulties at the moment, the national currency, the Hryvnia, is under pressure. The bearded man on the ₴ 50 note is Mykhailo Hrushevskyi (1866–1934). The man on the ₴ 2 note is Yaroslav the Wise (978-1054).
