Latium has replied to Michiel 2005 clubHowever he had his revenge after a fashion for I was booked on several short haul flights in a tortuous journey back to England i.e. Bahrain, Kuwait, Baghdad,, Beirut, Istanbul, Berne, Hamburg and finally Heathrow!
It took me six days to get home, but I had a brilliant stop over in Beirut which was a wonderful place to be in the early seventies so it wasn't all bad.
Did you already suffer from malaria on the way back?
I've heard that Beirut was quite a wild place, you didn't take any pictures there?
Latium has replied to Michiel 2005 clubThe malaria started a few days after getting home.
Sold my camera in Bahrain as I was a bit boracic ;¬)
