Former silverware factory Van Kempen & Begeer – Jugendstil gate

Former silverware factory Van Kempen & Begeer – Jugendstil gate
Designed around 1900 by J.J. Warnaar. Made by the company Braat in Delft.

Silver and goldware factory Van Kempen & Sons started in 1789 in Utrecht. In 1858 it moved to Voorschoten to this building. In 1919 Van Kempen merged with the companies Begeer and Vos. Since 1960 the company was named Van Kempen & Begeer. It was located here until 1985, when it moved to Zoetermeer. The facade of this building is original, but behind the facade is a completely modern building.
