Sucha Beskidzka (before 1961 called only Sucha) is a town in southern Poland. Since the beginning of the 20th century it has been the centre of tourism in this part of the Beskidy Mountains (part of the Carpathians). Sucha was the birthplace of the Hollywood film director, Billy Wilder.

Zawoja is situated in Sucha County, Southern Poland. Having 6,200 inhabitants it is one of the largest Polish villages. It is also one of the longest as it stretches for about 20 kilometres in a picturesque mountain valley. It lies close to the mountain massif of Babia Góra (1725 m).
