Son's wheelchair makes a great element for vehicular costumes. Mostly recycled cardboard, duct tape, spray paint, also a salad bowl, some bamboo skewers, a lot of office supplies and bottle caps.

He loves the attention! I think it works well as a sensory "shield" too. This photo was taken at a crowded party; he could sort of hide from the noise and busyness behind the cardboard, but still see what was happening.
