Pitshanger Manor, Ealing

Pitshanger Manor was owned between 1800 and 1810 by the architect John Soane, who radically rebuilt it as a country retreat, Ealing in those days being a quiet, rural location outside London. The two-story south wing (right) was built in 1768 by George Dance, his first employer.
An extensive restoration (completed in April 2019) returned much of the building to Soane's design.
