What incredible beauties - and what a great photo and a delightful muddy mess they are!

Reading about these horses, I'm very happy to hear that they don't put horse shoes on them. Must have been an amazing sight to see.

Thanks, but you won't just come across them galloping through water like this. It's all staged - their owners (for a fee) herd and drive them through the water for the benefit of photographers who stand ready, wearing hired wellington boots, in pre-arranged spots in the shallow river.
